Discussion – Indian Boarding Schools and their impacts

There will be a discussion concerning the Indian Boarding Schools and their impact on local Tribal families beginning at 6 p.m. in the Kayhi Auditorium. The event is sponsored by Ketchikan Indian Community and features guest speaker James William Labelle, Sr., President of the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition and Shellie Tabb, Indian Boarding School Scholar. Tribal members will be invited to share and reflect on their personal or family experiences following the presentation.
