Drug Prevention Event – “Hidden in Plain Sight”

The Ketchikan Wellness Coalition’s PIERS Drug Prevention Taskforce and Ketchikan Police Department are hosting a “Hidden in Plain Sight” event from 1 – 4 p.m. in the Plaza Mall.  Tour a bedroom to see signs that a young person may be involved in risky activities, how to spot warning signs, how to prevent easy access to alcohol and other drugs, and get tips for communicating with teens.  There will be games for youth, resource booths, and information from mental health and health providers.  There will also be a tamale fundraiser to help send Ketchikan Youth to CADCA (drug-free community) training.
