Bussers at The Landing Restaurant play a vital role in assisting a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. This includes coordinating with front- and back-of-house teams, and ensuring prompt, accurate, and friendly service. Assisting servers to ensure guests have a smooth dining experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Interaction:
Greet guests warmly and provide menus and water upon arrival.
Inform guests of specials, menu updates, and make personalized recommendations.
Answer questions about food, beverages, and service, while upselling items to enhance the guest experience.
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Station Management:
Stock, clean, and reset tables and workstations throughout the shift.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, including tables, chairs, high chairs, floors, and windows.
Ensure to-go orders are double-checked for accuracy and packaged correctly.
Safety and Compliance:
Maintain a safe work environment by keeping floors clean and dry, using wet floor signs as needed.
Adhere to Alaska TAPS and Food Handler licensing requirements.
Team Support:
Collaborate with hosts, servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure guest satisfaction with food and service.
Notify management immediately of guest complaints that you cannot resolve appropriately personally.
Provide food and beverage service to meeting rooms when assigned.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
Alaska Food Handler’s Card
Ability to go up and down stairs regularly.
Ability to lift 30-40 pounds.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
