Position Summary
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public areas in accordance with property standards. Your work will directly contribute to guest satisfaction and the overall success of the property.
Responsibilities
Housekeepers properly enter and prepare guest rooms for cleaning, ensuring all work meets established standards. Duties include making beds, dusting furniture and surfaces, replenishing guest room and bathroom supplies, and thoroughly cleaning bathrooms. Team members also clean closets, radiators, and window sills; vacuum carpets and hallways; and remove room service dishes, returning them to kitchen areas.
In addition to guest rooms, housekeepers maintain the cleanliness of public areas, restock and organize housekeeping carts, and ensure rooms are properly secured after service. This role includes reporting and documenting lost and found items in accordance with hotel policy and notifying management of any suspicious activity on the property. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and able to understand and communicate in English. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, as well as bend, reach, stoop, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
Schedule
This position typically works 8-hour day or morning shifts, Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.
